Reliance Jiohotstar decided Indian Premier League (IPL) is not streamed for free.

 Reliance Jio has decided that this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) will not be streamed for free.

Jio made its official announcement on March 17, 2025. IPL is India's most-streamed sports event, and for the past two years, it was available for free. However, this year, users will have to pay to watch it.

Jio has launched a new recharge plan starting at ₹299, which will allow users to stream IPL. According to the JioHotstar users will be able to connect two devices at the same time.

IPL 2025 Schedule:

The first match of this season will be played between KKR and RCB at Eden Gardens.

The IPL 2025 season will begin on March 22 and continue until May 25.

Reliance Jio has also launched a broadband internet plan, which includes a 50-day trial to improve internet speed and enhance the streaming experience.

Mukesh Ambani had to spend $10 billion to acquire the IPL streaming media rights.
